Why take this course?  The course provides an overview of Environmental Laws in Manitoba, including a brief history and purpose of environmental law. All registrants will receive an updated Primer on Manitoba Environmental Law and a spreadsheet of all applicable Manitoba environmental laws and regulations.

Who should take this Course? The course is aimed at:

  • Recent graduates and young professionals in the environmental sector;
  • Industry professionals with a Workplace Safety and Health orientation who need to know more about environmental requirements;  
  • Anyone who wants a refresher on applicable environmental legislation and regulation in Manitoba.

What you will learn – You will learn about all environmental laws in Manitoba, with a specific focus on Environmental Assessment, the Environment Act, the Dangerous Goods Handling and Transportation Act and the Contaminated Sites Remediation Act. The course includes a series of hands on exercises to familiarize you with legal requirements, resources and how to conform to legislation.

Please note:  This workshop is eligible for 4 ECO Canada Professional Development Credits
