MEIA is proud to partner with ECO Canada on this event. Join us for an engaging in-person networking event focused on advancing the implementation of the National Energy Code for Buildings (NECB) and the National Building Code (NBC) in Indigenous communities. ECO Canada will share developed resources, lessons learned, and community feedback gathered through ongoing work supporting the adoption of energy codes in Indigenous communities. This event is designed to foster meaningful conversations, strengthen connections, and highlight how building codes can support healthier homes and long-term community resilience.

Speaker:

Pooja Sharma

Pooja Sharma is a Manager of Professional Services Projects at ECO Canada with extensive experience leading funded initiatives that foster collaboration across industry, academia, Indigenous communities, and other key stakeholders. She currently manages project focused on adoption of and compliance with National Energy Codes of Canada for buildings, with a strong emphasis on capacity building through trainings and resources. Pooja holds a Masters degree in Economics from University of Ottawa, Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Diploma in Business Administration from McMaster University.
