A promising environmental technology is only the beginning. From technical validation to regulations and market readiness, bringing innovation to market requires specialized support.
The Manitoba Environmental Industries Association (MEIA) bridges that gap by connecting Manitoba cleantech businesses with experienced practitioners who understand the realities of building and operating environmental businesses.
Up to 10 SMEs will receive a tailored advisory and mentorship engagement, valued at up to $5,000 and matched to their technology and business needs.

Depending on your technology, development stage, and goals, advisory support may include:
Technical Advisory
Proof-of-concept validation and early-stage research and development, including bench-scale or field studies.
Business Advisory
Market assessment, competitive intelligence, and referrals to relevant partners.
Financing Advisory
Investor readiness, pitch decks, and guidance on government support programs.
Regulatory Guidance
Help understanding compliance responsibilities, permitting, and regulatory oversight considerations.
Environmental Performance
Measuring and documenting the environmental impacts and performance of your technology.
Operations Tours
First-hand insights into scaling, planning, and investment. A non-disclosure agreement may be required.
Developing a cleantech solution in Manitoba?
The program is intended for small Manitoba firms developing environmental technologies and solutions in areas such as:
Firms offering related services, such as laboratory, regulatory, or investor-readiness expertise, are also welcome. Working in another environmental area? Tell us about your technology.
MEIA membership is not required to apply. An active MEIA membership is required for acceptance into the program.
How to get started.
You do not need to be an MEIA member to submit an application. Membership is only required if you are accepted into the program.
Complete the intake form
Tell us about your technology, its stage of development, and where you need support. Submit your completed form to awoodroffe@meia.mb.ca.
Get matched
MEIA will review your application and identify an advisor whose expertise fits your needs. Active MEIA membership is required to be accepted into the program. If you're not yet a member, become an MEIA member for membership details.
