Sector Council Program

Sector Council Program

The Manitoba government recognizes that a skilled, adaptable, and productive workforce is essential for local and global market competitiveness. The Sector Council Program supports key Manitoba sectors by developing and delivering workforce training for new and existing employees to foster business growth and prosperity.

MEIA is the Sector Council for the Natural Resources, Energy, and Environment sectors, including:

→ Raw material processing (e.g., trapping, fishing, mining, oil and gas, forestry) → Energy production and distribution → Renewable energy (e.g., solar, geothermal, hydroelectricity, bio-waste, wind) → Environmental goods and services (e.g., monitoring, pollution control, remediation, sustainable development)

With funding from Economic Development Investment and Trade, MEIA fosters collaboration and strengthens partnerships in these sectors through training, education, and human resource development.

MEIA is proud to collaborate on events, training, reports and projects with local and national experts.
