HAZARDOUS WASTE OPERATIONS AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE

HAZWOPER / NFPA 1072 Technician

The HAZWOPER/NFPA 1072 Technician course is a 4-day program that focuses on internationally recognized techniques for identifying and handling hazardous chemicals and waste within known and unknown environments, first response emergency spill situations, incident command and management strategies, and chemical toxicology and their effects.

Course Overview

The course offered by HAZ-MATTERS Emergency Management Inc. falls within the recently approved Essential Services mandate across Canada and substantially improves employee hazard understanding at the worksite while empowering a Technician level response competency for employees exposed to any form of chemical hazards.

Registrants for this event are eligible to claim 3 PD credits towards maintaining their EP designation with ECO Canada.

Course Details

Certification

Participants will be certified in: 40 Hour HAZWOPER, WHMIS 2015, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Fire Safety & Extinguishers, and Incident Command System 100

Requirements

Participants must bring a laptop or tablet to access course materials and will be given a USB drive that has the student manual and all pertinent supplements included.
