MEIA Cleantech Tour - Recap

MEIA hosted a Cleantech Tour with Ministers Tracy Schmidt and Adrien Sala on July 17! We had a wonderful time touring three significant Manitoba cleantech companies and experiencing the beautiful countryside in rural Manitoba. 

Jack Winram, MEIA’s Executive Director, was honoured to facilitate a tour alongside Tracy Schmidt, Minister for Environment and Climate Change, and Adrien Sala, MSc BComm PMP, Minister of Finance. 

The tour included visits to three cleantech companies, including Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. at the St. Leon Windfarm, the Miller Environmental CorporationHazardous Waste Treatment Facility, and the EnerPure used motor oil recycling Research and Development Facility. 

These Manitoba companies are doing incredibly important work to reduce our environmental footprint and demonstrate how innovation can help grow Manitoba’s green economy!
