MEIA Connects with Brandon’s Business and Environmental Community

MEIA recently hosted its first-ever events in Brandon, bringing together businesses, environmental professionals, innovators and community partners for two days of networking, learning and collaboration.

The visit began with an Industry Networking Mixer, delivered in partnership with Manitoba Innovates. Professionals from Brandon’s business and innovation community gathered to exchange ideas, build new relationships and explore opportunities for collaboration across the region.

The following day, MEIA hosted the Regulatory Lunch & Learn: Environmental Licensing Act, featuring representatives from Manitoba’s Environmental Approvals Branch.

Attendees gained practical insight into Manitoba’s environmental assessment and approvals process, including how regulatory requirements apply to development and industry projects throughout the province. The session also provided an opportunity to ask questions and participate in valuable discussions about environmental regulation, compliance and responsible development in Manitoba.

These events marked an exciting step in strengthening MEIA’s connections with Brandon and the surrounding region. We are grateful to everyone who attended, contributed to the discussions and helped make our first Brandon events such a positive experience.

A special thank you to Manitoba Innovates for partnering with us on the Industry Networking Mixer, and to Miller Environmental Corporation for sponsoring the Regulatory Lunch & Learn and helping make these events possible.

MEIA looks forward to continuing to grow our presence in Brandon and creating more opportunities for Manitoba’s environmental sector to connect, share knowledge and build meaningful partnerships.

We can’t wait to be back!
