Environmental Science Foundations explores humanity’s impact on the natural world, introducing key concepts such as invasive species, climate change, and environmental worldviews. Students will learn how science is used to address pressing environmental challenges and study ecosystems linked to energy and the physical environment. Special emphasis is placed on the stewardship of critical resources, including water, wastewater, soil, agriculture, and land conservation. Students will also examine environmental hazards such as flooding, drought, illegal wastewater discharges, uranium contamination, and the management of hazardous materials.
